The Rieke Foundation

The Rieke Foundation is affiliated with the Portland Schools Foundation, which is an independent, non-profit organization that plays a vital role in our community to provide funds for schools and advance initiatives that directly support teachers, schools and parent involvement. Historically, our Foundation has funded a classroom teacher to best support balanced class sizes. We use the money raised to add one additional teacher to which ever grade level our principal and staff decides needs it the most that year.

The three activities at Rieke that will support the Foundation this year include:

 The Rieke Auction

Saturday March 3rd, at the Mittleman Jewish Community Center (MJCC). This is the largest individual fundraising event for the school, and all are encouraged to attend. The evening includes appetizers, two drink tickets, dinner & dessert plus bidding on classroom art projects, a wine wall and a silent and live auction.

The Run for Rieke

This fun run is an annual fundraiser held on April 23, 2018 where the students and teachers walk, jog and run the Wilson track for donations per lap. Last year the run proceeds went to help fund the building of the community playground. This year we plan to use the money earned to support the Rieke Foundation.

 The Rieke Educators Fund

The Rieke Educators Fund works by having donors contribute a one-time gift, or recurring monthly withdrawal (via their bank or VISA) amount to the Rieke ES account managed by the All Hands Raised organization. The campaign is our annual ask for cash donations to support the foundation. We ask all Rieke families to consider a tax-deductible one-time cash donation or a recurring monthly donation.
