Please attend tonight's DBRAC meeting
Show PPS how committed Rieke families are Come one, come all to the PPS District-Wide Boundary Review (DBRAC) meeting that may shape the future of Rieke and other SW schools.
The DBRAC committee will hear testimony from impacted schools before discussing proposed boundary changes that could significantly impact Rieke and other area schools.
We need families to show up and show strength in numbers for Rieke, as this issue is discussed.
There are two meetings to attend:
January 14 - tonight
5:45 PM (doors open at 5:30)
Meeting is being held at the BESC, PPS district office 501 N.Dixon St.
Bring your kids!
You do not need to stay for the whole meeting, but plan to at least stay for school testimony at the beginning.
Each school will get two minutes of testimony before the committee begins discussing the plan. Rieke PTA has a representative providing testimony for Rieke - but we need as many people as we can get standing there, showing the committee that the Rieke community is active, engaged and will band together in support of our school. You can also fill out comment cards that will be considered.
There's also a community meeting next week where you can find out more:
6 pm to 7:30 pm
Wilson High School Cafeteria
Childcare and interpretation in Spanish and Somali is provided.
We're working to consolidate information on the PTA website, but for now, you can see more information and community discussion at the "SW Portland Public Schools Boundary and Space Issues" Facebook page: You can see the latest map proposal here.
See you tonight!
