Principal's Message, January 28

While the sun is out this week the wind has returned which again makes for chilly recesses at school and means warm coats are really necessary. Although we certainly can’t complain compared to what the Midwest is expecting!

Please be sure if you are sending any medication for your child, whether over the counter or prescription, it needs to come in its original packaging and you must complete a form indicating when it is to be administered. This includes cough drops. Students are not allowed to self-administer anything without prior approval from our nurse.

Help us spread the word to families who may have a child turning five years old on or before September 1st which means he or she can start Kindergarten next Fall. Our Connect to Kindergarten information session is Thursday, Feb. 7 from 6:30-8 pm and we want to get the information out to as many families as possible. This is an evening geared for adults and we will not have childcare available. We will have another event in May where we will be welcoming our future K students.

Report cards should be coming home with your child this week, please keep an eye out for them in their backpacks.
