Looking for a Few Good Readers ! The Rieke Reading Buddy Program is designed to help 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students improve their literacy skills by giving them the opportunity to read aloud, one-on-one, to an adult volunteer. Volunteers model the joy of reading, while supporting the child's efforts to read independently.
The Rieke Reading Buddy Program is seeking volunteers! This is the perfect opportunity for parents, grandparents, and neighbors. The time commitment is 20-30 minutes per week, and we often can use volunteers at the following times: Start of the school day, 8:45-9:15. Right after lunch, 12:15-12:45. End of the school day, 2:30-3:00.
